Do not turn the key to 0 or 1
position while driving.
Vehicle and brake assistance
would not operate, causing vehicle
damage, personal injury or
possibly death.
CCaauuttiioonn
Do not leave the key in the 1 or 2
position for extended periods
while the engine is not running.
This will discharge the battery.
SSttaarrttiinngg tthhee eennggiinnee

Turn the key to position 11.
Move the steering wheel slightly to
release the steering wheel lock.
Automatic transmission: press and
hold brake pedal and move selector
lever to P or N.
Do not accelerate.
Turn the key to position 33.
Before restarting or to switch off the
engine, turn key back to 00.
CCaauuttiioonn
Do not operate the starter motor
longer than 10 seconds at one
time. This may damage the starter
motor or discharge the battery.
PPaarrkkiinngg
Do not park the vehicle on an easily
ignitable surface. The high
temperature of the exhaust system
could ignite the surface.
Always apply th
e parking brake
without pressing the
release button.
Apply as firmly as possible on
downhill or uphill slopes. Press the
foot brake at the same time to
reduce operating force.
Switch off the engine and ignition.
Turn the steering wheel until the
steering whee
l lock engages.
If the vehicle is on a level surface or
uphill slope eng
age first gear
before switching off
the ignition. On
