Electric adjustment
The control for the power mirrors are
located on the door trim beside the
driver.
Select the left or the right exterior
mirror with the selector switch and
adjust with the four-way switch.
Folding
For pedestrian safety, the exterior
mirrors will swing out of their normal
mounting position if they are struck
with sufficient force. Reposition the
mirror by applying slight pressure to
the mirror housing. This feature is
also useful to reduce the total width of
the vehicle to prevent damages when
the vehicle is parked. Push the mirror
back into the functional position
before driving.
9 Warning
Always keep your mirrors properly
adjusted, and use them while
driving to increase your visibility of
objects and other vehicles around
you. Do not drive while either
outside rearview mirror is folded
back.
The surface of the mirror lenses is
convex to increase the driver's
field of view, and, due to that, the
objects reflected in the mirror are
closer than they appear. Do not
underestimate the real distance of
the vehicles reflected on the
mirrors. Always check the
rearguard also on the inner
rearview mirror or glance over
your shoulders before changing
lanes.
