The Chicago Pneumatic CP7783 and CP7783-6 are powerful impact wrenches designed for various industrial applications, particularly for fastening and unfastening threaded fasteners in wood, metal, and plastic. These tools are built for professional use and require users to read and understand the provided instructions and safety guidelines before operation.
Function Description:
The impact wrenches operate by converting compressed air into rotational force, delivering high torque for tightening or loosening bolts and nuts. They feature a twin hammer mechanism, which provides balanced power and smooth operation. The tools are designed to be robust and durable, suitable for demanding work environments.

Usage Features:
- Air Supply: The tool requires a clean and dry air supply. It should be connected to an air line lubricator with SAE #10 oil adjusted to two drops per minute. An air line lubricator cannot be used, add air motor oil to the inlet once a day. Recommended lubricant: CP OIL PROTECTO-LUBE (4 oz (120 ml) P/N: CA000045, 20.8 oz (591 ml) P/N: CA000046, 1 gallon P/N: CA000047).
- Operation:
- Connect the tool to a clean and dry air supply.
- Connect the appropriate accessory (socket) to the square drive.
- The trigger controls the tool's operation. Pressing the trigger increases pressure and thus the speed.
- To switch rotation, turn the switch (B) as shown in Fig. 02.
- The tool has a regulator (A) to adjust output power.
- The tool is designed for installing and removing threaded fasteners.
- Safety: Users must read and understand the safety instructions (part number 6159948710) before operating the tool. The declared values for sound and vibration are determined by laboratory type testing in accordance with ISO 15744 and ISO 28927-2. These values are suitable for comparison with other tools and for a preliminary assessment of exposure. However, the actual sound and vibration emission during use may differ significantly depending on the task, workpiece, and the workstation design. Users should take precautions to minimize exposure to vibration, such as wearing gloves, maintaining a good grip, and taking breaks.
Maintenance Features:
- General Maintenance: Follow country environmental regulations for safe handling and disposal of all components. Maintenance and repair work must be carried out by qualified personnel using only original spare parts. Contact the manufacturer or your nearest authorized dealer for assistance.
- Lubrication:
- An air line lubricator with SAE #10 oil should be used, adjusted to two drops per minute.
- If an air line lubricator cannot be used, add air motor oil to the inlet once a day.
- Recommended lubricant: CP OIL PROTECTO-LUBE.
- For the clutch, use CP DPF Preau-Lube synthetic clutch grease 8940158455 (20g (0.7 oz.)).
- Inspection: Always ensure that the machine is disconnected from its energy source to avoid accidental operation. Regularly check and maintain the tool every three months if the tool is used every day. Replace damaged or worn parts.
- Up-Kit Maintenance: When wear parts are underlined in the parts list, the following service kits are recommended:
- CP7783: 6159948710
- CP7783-6: 6159948710
- Disposal: The disposal of this equipment must follow the legislative of the respective country. If damaged, tools must be immediately unserviceable and taken out of operation. Repair only by technical maintenance staff.
