Replacing the Optical Bypass Module Without Disrupting Traffic on the Link
Step 3 Remove the optical bypass module from the Cisco SCE 8000 chassis and immediately install it in the
new Cisco SCE 8000 platform. Alternatively, it can be installed in an external mounting panel elsewhere
in the rack.
Step 4 Connect the cables from the optical bypass module to the line interfaces of the new Cisco SCE 8000
platform. See the “Optical Bypass Module Connectivity” section on page 6-9.
