Going into engine STOP
mode
The "ECO"warninglampcomeson
intheinstrumentpanelandtheengine
goesintostandbyautomatically:
- with a manual gearbox, when stationary,
inneutral,andyoureleasetheclutch
pedal.
- with an electronic gearbox, when
stationaryoratspeedsbelow5mph
(8km/h)(dependingonversion),inneutral
(control on N)orwhenyoupressthebrake
pedal.
NeverrefuelwiththeengineinSTOP
mode;youmustswitchofftheignition.
Foryourcomfort,duringparking
manoeuvres,STOPmodeisnot
availableforafewsecondsafter
comingoutofreversegear.
TheStop&Startsystemdoesnotaffect
thethevehicle'sothersystems,suchas
forexamplebraking,powersteering...
TheStop&Startsystemputstheengine
temporarilyintostandby-STOPmode-during
stopsinthetraffic(redlights,trafficjams,or
other...).Theenginerestartsautomatically-
STARTmode-assoonasyouwanttomove
off.Therestarttakesplaceinstantly,quickly
andsilently.
Perfectforurbanuse,theStop&Startsystem
reducesfuelconsumptionandexhaust
emissionsaswellasthenoiselevelwhen
stationary.
