How to fix a CLA-VAL 50B-4KG1 Control Unit that fails to close?
- TTyler RomeroAug 10, 2025
To address a CLA-VAL Control Unit that fails to close, start by opening any closed isolation valves in the control system or main line. Then, inspect the upstream pressure, pilot system, strainer, tubing, valves, or needle valves for any obstructions that might be causing a lack of cover chamber pressure. If the issue persists, the diaphragm may be damaged and require replacement. Also, clean and polish the valve stem if there's corrosion or excessive scale buildup, and inspect for any damaged parts. Remove any mechanical obstructions lodged in the valve. Finally, check for a worn disc or badly scored seat, and replace them if necessary.
