Fit the crankshaft position sensor (B231).
Fit and tighten bolts for crankshaft position sensor harness clamps.
Fit the oil pressure controller on a 6-cylinder engine.
Fit the sump.
Fit the front bearing seal.
Remove crankshaft torsional absorber.
Fit the water pump.
Fit the fan belt tensioner and roller.
Fit the fan and its support.
Undo the pressure controller on 6-cylinder engines.
Remove bolt, sealing washer, spring and pressure controller.
Fit extractor tool on pressure controller for 4-cylinder engines.
Insert the sleeve of the special tool fully over the valve extractor.
Use special tool to remove pressure controller.
Check the spring to decide whether to re-use or replace it.
Position the sealing washer in the right direction.
Insert pressure controller assembly in timing cover opening.
Tighten the pressure controller to the recommended torque.
Insert insertion tool in pressure controller for 4-cylinder engines.
Push controller fully into bore in engine block.
Lubricate the camshaft O-ring with clean engine oil.
Ensure seal contact surfaces are clean and dry before fitting.
Remove the electric starting motor.
Remove bolts securing housing to cylinder block and oil sump.
Remove the engine flywheel housing from the block.
Clean contact surfaces on cylinder block and housing.
Fit a new camshaft O-ring.
Fit the seal.
