If your wine cooler fails to operate properly, please follow these procedures prior to contacting Customer Service.
Problem Probable Cause Solution
Wine cooler is not
cooling
- The appliance is not plugged in.
- Breaker fuse has tripped.
- Outlet is not working.
- Be sure to plug into a 120V AC, 60Hz outlet.
- Please check your electrical box to confirm the
breaker has not been blown. Ensure unit is OFF.
Plug in and attempt to turn on again.
- Attempt to plug unit into another receptacle in the
house.
Temperature inside
is not cold enough
- The wine cooler is placed too close
to a heat source.
- Lack of air circulation for the fans
at the back.
- Dust has accumulated at the back,
creating lack of air circulation.
- The door is not closed tightly or is
being opened too frequently or for
extended periods.
- Relocate the wine cooler to avoid direct sunlight or
other heat sources.
- Position the wine cooler so that there is enough
space between the back of the unit and the wall by
following procedures listed under “Installation
Instructions”.
- Using a crevice tool attachment, pass vacuum over
the back fan cover to remove dust built-up.
- Ensure door is closed properly and do not open
door unless necessary. Do not leave door open for
long periods of time.
Wine cooler is
emitting unpleasant
smell
- A bottle of wine has spilled or is
leaking.
- Locate the leaking bottle and remove it from the
wine cooler. Wipe away spills with a damp cloth
and mild detergent. Allow inside to air dry.
Interior light is
flashing
- This indicates Auto Cycling is in
effect, indicating it has reached a
temperature that was set earlier.
- Adjust temperature of wine cooler to a lower
temperature setting. This is a normal function and
does not require repair.
There is water
forming in the wine
cooler
- There is too much humidity.
- The temperature inside the wine
cooler is considerably lower than
the surrounding temperature of the
environment, creating excess
condensation.
- Unplug wine cooler from outlet to stop power
supply and absorb accumulated water with paper
towels or a sponge.
