Clarion ARX9170R - Troubleshooting

. R PRESET: Selects one of 7 types of parameters
according to car type. (TYPE 1 ~ TYPE 7}
- BAND: Selects the band to be adjusted. (1 ~ 4: 1
and 2 are for low frequencies, 3 and 4 for medium
and high frequencies)
. FREQUENCY: Selects the centre frequency for the
adjustment. (1 and 2: 20Hz to 500Hz, 3 and 4:
630HZ to 20kKHz)
6. GAIN: Adjusts the level. (-12dB - +12dB8)
7. Q: Adjusts the sharpness of the frequency curve. (4,
3, 5, 7 and 20}
“Parameters 2 to 7 cannot be adjusted when the
“P.EQ F/R” parameter Is turned off.
“If
the
SHIFT
button
[is
pressed
while
in
the
para-
metric
equalizer
adjustment
mode,
the
parametric
equalizer
curve
appears,
so
you
can
adjust
the
set-
tings
whlle
looking
at
the
curve.
Press
the
DISP
button
again
to
retum
to
the
previous
display.
<PINK NOISE>
Pink
noise
(adjustment
sounds)
can
be
emitted
in
the
order
shown
below
by
pressing
the
SHIFT
button[8lfor
more
than
two
seconds
while
in
the
parametric
equaii-
zer
adjustment
mode.
Front + Rear -> All -> Off > Front

The
surround
effect
can
be
turned
on
and
off.

volume
to
the
maximum.

7. TROUBLESHOOTING
Fuse is blown. Replace with a fuse of the same amperage.
If the fuse blows again, consult your store of pur-
chase.
incorrect wiring. Check the connections again and connect proper-
ly.
Playback head is dirty. Use a cleaning tape, etc., to clean the head.
DOLBY NA button is not pres- | When listening to a tape recorded with Dolby NR,
