Thoroughly inspect
all
loads
to be
moved
for
overload and/or
poor balance.
If the
sta-
bility
of a
load
is
ques-
tionable,
don't
move
it.

Before
lifting
check
to
insure adequate
un-
obstructed
overhead
clearance.
Gradually
and
smoothly
pull
back
on
lift
control
lever.
Return lever
to
neutral
to
stop
lift
at
desired level.

Unstable loads
are a
hazard
to you and to
your fellow workers.
Al-
ways
make certain
that
your
load
is
well
stacked
and
evenly posi-
tioned
across
both
forks. Never
attempt
to
lift
a
load
with
only
one
fork.

Push
forward
on
control
lever
to
lower
load.
Descent
of
load
may be
stopped
at
desired
level
by
returning
lever
to
neutral position.
