Filling the water reservoir
Make sure that thewater level in thereservoir does not exceed themaximummark.
In order for theair cooler to be able to cool and humidify theair, thewater reservoir
must be filled with cold water in addition to ice or freezer blocks. Ifthewater reser-
voir is removed when theair cooler is switched on, theair cooler will automatically
switchoff. Whenthewater reservoir is replaced, theair cooler will need to be switched
on again if you want it to continue operating. Theair cooler cannot be switched on if
thewater reservoir is not fitted correctly.
1. Switch theair cooler off and unplug it from thewall socket.
2. Undo thewater reservoir locking knob (8).
3. Pull out thewater reservoir and fill it with water and ice or freezer blocks.
4. Slide thewater reservoir back in and lock it inplace.
Care and maintenance
• Always unplug themains lead from thewall socket before cleaning thecooler or
filling thewater reservoir.
• Clean theexterior of theair cooler using alightly moistenedcloth. Useonly mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Always unplug theair cooler and make sure that thewater reservoir is clean and
dry before storing thecooler in adry, dust-free environment out of children’s reach
whenever it is not to be used for anextended period.
• Switch theair cooler on by pressing the [ ON/OFF ] button on thecontrol panel
or theremote control and make any necessary settings using thecontrols on
thecontrol panel or remote control as describedabove.
Cleaning the filter
1. Press down thespring catches on
thedust filter (A) and removeit.
2. Remove thewater filter (B).
3. Vacuum clean thedust filter.
4. Soak thewater filter in warm soapy
water for ashortwhile. Rinsethefilter
in cleanwater. Refitthefilters in
reversedorder.
