Filling the water reservoir
Make sure that thewater level in thereservoir does not exceed themaximummark.
In order for theair cooler to be able to cool and humidify theair, thewater reservoir
must be filled with cold water in addition to ice or freezer blocks. Ifthewater reser-
voir is removed when theair cooler is switched on, theair cooler will automatically
switchoff. Whenthewater reservoir is replaced, theair cooler will need to be switched
on again if you want it to continue operating. Theair cooler cannot be switched on if
thewater reservoir is not fitted correctly.
1. Switch theair cooler off and unplug it from thewall socket.
2. Undo thewater reservoir locking knob (8).
3. Pull out thewater reservoir and fill it with water and ice or freezer blocks.
4. Slide thewater reservoir back in and lock it inplace.
Care and maintenance
• Always unplug themains lead from thewall socket before cleaning thecooler or
filling thewater reservoir.
• Clean theexterior of theair cooler using alightly moistenedcloth. Useonly mild
cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Always unplug theair cooler and make sure that thewater reservoir is clean and
dry before storing thecooler in adry, dust-free environment out of children’s reach
whenever it is not to be used for anextended period.
• Switch theair cooler on by pressing the [ ON/OFF ] button on thecontrol panel
or theremote control and make any necessary settings using thecontrols on
thecontrol panel or remote control as describedabove.
Cleaning the filter
1. Press down thespring catches on
thedust filter (A) and removeit.
2. Remove thewater filter (B).
3. Vacuum clean thedust filter.
4. Soak thewater filter in warm soapy
water for ashortwhile. Rinsethefilter
in cleanwater. Refitthefilters in
reversedorder.
