Safety
• The electronics and other components contained within
thepressure gauge cannot be adjusted or repaired.
Donotdismantle thepressure gauge.
• Never subject thepressure gauge to pressures exceeding
its rated upperlimit.
• When changing thebatteries, take care not to short-
circuitthem.
• The tyre pressure gauge must not be exposed to extreme
temperatures, moisture, vibrations or direct sunlight for
anextended period oftime.

Care and maintenance
Clean theproduct using asoft, moist cloth. Useamild detergent
and never use solvents or strong, abrasive cleaning agents for
cleaning as these can damage theproduct.

regulations. Ifyou are unsure how to proceed, contact your
local authority.
Buttons and functions
Battery replacement
The batteries should be changed when thedisplay isdim.
1. Turnthebattery cover anticlockwise and remove it.
2. Removetheold batteries.
3. Insert2 new SR44/V357 batteries with their negative
terminals facing downwards and then refit thebattery cover.
Note: Whenchanging thebatteries, take care not to short-
circuit them.
General advice
• It is wise to check your tyre pressure regularly. Thecorrect
tyre pressure will help ensure optimum fuel consumption,
improve road handling and reduce tyrewear.
• Always follow themanufacturer’s recommended tyre pressures
which are based on themeasurement of coldtyres.
• A tyre’s rated maximum pressure is often stated on itswall.
• On some models of car therecommended tyre pressures
can be found on thefuel filler cap.
Measuring thedepth oftread
• Press thedepth gauge button.
• The depth gauge has two fixed positions, one at 5 mm and
theother at 27mm.
• Insert thegauge into theshallowest groove of thetread and
measure thedepth.

Operation
1. Turn thegauge on using theon/off button. Thedisplay will
come on and after about 2 seconds “0.0.” will appear, to
indicate that thegauge is ready foruse.
2. The gauge sets automatically to theunit of measurement
that was used last. Theunit of measurement can be
changed by pressing theon/off button. Eachpress changes
theunit in thefollowing sequence: PSI → bar → kPa →
kg/cm² → PSI, etc.

unit of measurement.

(ontheback).
5. Treaddepth gauge
extend/retract control
button.
6. Treaddepthgauge.
3. Press thenozzle over thevalve of
thetyre. Makesure that thenozzle
forms anairtight seal over thevalve.
Listenfor any air escaping. Ifyou hear
ahissing sound, move thenozzle
alittle until theair stops escaping.
4. Wait for 2 seconds until thereading
on thedisplay has stabilized. Double-
check theunit of measurement and
take thereading.
5. The reading will be displayed for
85seconds before thepressure
gauge shuts off automatically. Ifyou
measure thepressure of another tyre
within 85 seconds, thenew reading
will be displayed.
6. Turn thepressure gauge off by
holding in theon/off button until
thedisplay turnsoff.
