This document is a user manual and warranty for the Classic Kitchen Electric Hot Water Boiler Dispenser Series, covering models CK-2840, CK-1665, and CK-2100.
Function Description:
The Classic Kitchen Electric Hot Water Boiler Dispenser is designed to heat and maintain water at an ideal temperature for hot beverages like tea or coffee. It first boils the water and then keeps it warm. The units are intended for household use and should only be used with water. They are not designed for constant boiling but rather to maintain a pre-programmed temperature level of 195°F - 200°F (91°C - 93°C). The unit features a "Twisloc™ Safety tap" for dispensing water, which requires aligning an "Unlock Icon" with a dot imprint on the spout to operate and an "Lock Icon" to prevent accidental dispensing. A "Yom Tov" (Holiday) mode is available, which keeps the "Keep Warm" light on continuously and disconnects the "Boil" light, allowing for refilling and reheating according to specific religious guidelines. The unit also includes safety features such as a thermal limiter for "Boil-Dry protection," which turns the appliance off if the water level becomes too low.

- Construction: Stainless steel inner tank.
Usage Features:
- First Use: Before initial use, remove all packaging, rinse with warm water and/or lemon juice, and dry. It is recommended to boil water with lemon slices to dispel any new product taste or smell.
- Filling: Fill the boiler with water up to the "MAX" or "FULL" line using a pitcher or utensil. Do not overfill.
- Operation: Plug the unit into a grounded outlet. Turn on the left On-Off switch; the Red Boiling light will illuminate. Once water boils, the Red Boil light turns off, and the Green Keep Warm light illuminates, indicating water is at the desired temperature. The unit will automatically reheat if the temperature drops.
- Dispensing: Place a cup close to the spout. Rotate the tap handle to align the "Unlock Icon" with the dot imprint, then pull forward to dispense. Release the tap to stop. Rotate the tap handle to align the "Lock Icon" with the dot imprint to secure it.
- Refilling: Push the lock tab button on the lid handle to "ON" to release the lock, then open the lid (counter-clockwise). Refill with water up to the "MAX" level. Replace and lock the lid (clockwise). The unit will then reheat the water.
- Yom Tov (Holiday) Use: In addition to the "on" switch, turn on the "YOM TOV" switch. The Red "Boil" light will be disconnected, and the Green "Keep Warm" light will remain on. Refilling on Yom Tov will trigger reheating after a few seconds delay.
- Shabbat Use: Follows the opinion of the RAMA”H only. Water must be fully boiled, and a small amount dispensed before Shabbat. Do not open the lid or refill on Shabbat.
- Safety Precautions:
- Do not immerse the unit or cord in water.
- Do not touch hot surfaces.
- Do not move the unit when operating or filled with water.
- Avoid using extension cords.
- Do not block the steam vent.
- Allow water to cool completely before cleaning or moving.
- Ensure the on-off switch is "off" before unplugging.
- Do not yank the cord.
- Keep away from children.
- Do not use in high altitude areas above 1000ft (300m) as performance may be irregular.
Maintenance Features:
- Regular Cleaning: Periodically clean the inner tank surface to remove mineral deposits, sediment, and scaling buildup. This is crucial to prevent clogging or damage to internal parts and to clear heating marks.
- Recommended Cleaners: Use lemon juice, vinegar, or a kettle cleaner like "CLR" (an OU certified product). Follow the cleaner's directions.
- Cleaning Procedure:
- Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely.
- Wipe the lid and outer body with a damp cloth.
- Wash the stainless steel water tank with warm, soapy water and a sponge, then rinse thoroughly.
- Clean the tap by letting water through and thoroughly cleaning inner connector parts' edges.
- Never use abrasives or scouring pads.
- The unit is not dishwasher safe.
- Addressing Discoloration: Hard water may cause slight discoloration of the stainless steel tank. Oxidization may discolor the inner lid. Regular cleaning with lemon juice, vinegar, or CLR helps.
- Troubleshooting Drips: If a slight continuous drip occurs from the spout, tighten the Twisloc™ tap connector. An extra rubber stopper gasket is provided for replacement if needed. Instructions for replacing the silicone stopper are included in the manual.
- Storage: Ensure the unit is completely dry inside before storing to prevent rust.
Warranty:
A one-year limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship from the date of original retail purchase. The warranty does not cover improper installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, non-maintenance (especially due to water impurities), disassembly, water immersion (Toveling), or damage from an extended "Boil-Dry" cycle (over 24 hours) which can trip the internal fuse. For warranty service, contact Innovative Consumer Goods, Inc. directly; do not return the unit to the store of purchase after 30 days. When sending for service, include photos of all labels, the inside of the water tank (without water), proof of purchase, and your name and address.
