Why is my CLIVET WSAN-YMi 71 Air Conditioner not heating or cooling properly?

  If your CLIVET Air Conditioner isn't heating or cooling as expected, it could be due to several reasons. First, check if the temperature setting on the controller is correct (T4HMAX, T4HMIN in heat mode; T4CMAX, T4CMIN in cool mode; T4DHWMAX, T4DHWMIN in DHW mode). Also, ensure that the water flow isn't too low by verifying that all shut-off valves are completely open, the water filter is clean, there's no air in the system, the water pressure is above 1 bar when cold, the expansion vessel isn't broken and the resistance in the water circuit isn't too high for the pump. Finally, check that the water volume in the installation is above the minimum required value.

  If you're experiencing a space heating capacity shortage with your CLIVET Air Conditioner during low outdoor temperatures, it might be due to the backup heater not being activated. Check that the 'OTHER HEATING SOURCE/ BACKUP HEATER' is enabled and verify that the thermal protector of the backup heater hasn't been activated. Also, ensure the booster heater isn't running simultaneously with the backup heater. Another possible cause is too much heat pump capacity being used for heating domestic hot water. To resolve this, check that the 't_DHWHP_MAX' and 't_DHWHP_RESTRICT' are configured appropriately, disable the 'DHW PRIORITY' in the user interface, and enable the 'T4_TBH_ON' in the user interface/FOR SERVICEMAN to activate the booster heater for domestic water heating.

How to fix a CLIVET WSAN-YMi 71 when the compressor isn't starting?

  If the compressor of your CLIVET Air Conditioner isn't starting for space heating or domestic water heating, it could be because the unit is starting up outside of its operation range due to low water temperature. In this case, the system uses a backup heater to reach the minimum water temperature (12°C). Check that the backup heater power supply is correct, the thermal fuse is closed, the thermal protector isn't activated, and the contactors aren't broken.

Why is the pump in my CLIVET WSAN-YMi 71 making noise (cavitation)?

  The pump in your CLIVET Air Conditioner might be making noise (cavitation) because there is air in the system. If so, purge the air. Alternatively, the water pressure at the pump inlet might be too low. Check that the water pressure is greater than 1 bar when the water is cold, ensure the manometer isn't broken, verify the expansion vessel isn't broken, and confirm the setting of the pre-pressure of the expansion vessel is correct.

  If your CLIVET Air Conditioner can't switch from DHW mode to Heat mode immediately, it could be due to several reasons. The heat exchanger for space heating might not be big enough, in this case set t_DHWHP_MAX to a minimum value (the suggested value is 60min), connect the circulating pump out of the unit to the unit if it is not already controlled by it, and add a 3-way valve at the inlet of the fan coil to ensure enough water flow. Alternatively, the space heating load might be small, in which case no heating is needed. Finally, if the disinfect function is enabled but without TBH, disable the disinfect function, and add TBH or AHS for DHW mode.

  The water pressure relief valve on your CLIVET Air Conditioner might open if the expansion vessel is broken, in which case you should replace it. Another reason could be that the filling water pressure in the installation is higher than 0.3MPa. Make sure that the filling water pressure in the installation is about 0.15~0.20MPa.

What to do if CLIVET Air Conditioner DHW mode heat pump stops but setpoint not reached, space heating require heat but unit stay in DHW mode?

  If the CLIVET Air Conditioner's DHW mode heat pump stops working before reaching the setpoint, and the unit remains in DHW mode despite space heating being required, it could be because the surface of the coil in the tank isn't large enough. In this case set t_DHWHP_MAX to a minimum value (the suggested value is 60min), connect the circulating pump out of the unit to the unit if it is not already controlled by it, and add a 3-way valve at the inlet of the fan coil to ensure enough water flow. Also, it could be because TBH or AHS is not available. The heat pump will stay in DHW mode until t_DHWHP_MAX is reached or the setpoint is achieved. Add TBH or AHS for DHW mode, ensuring they are controlled by the unit.

  If the water pressure relief valve on your CLIVET Air Conditioner is leaking, it may be due to dirt blocking the valve outlet. Check for correct operation of the pressure relief valve by turning the red knob on the valve counter clockWise. If you do not hear a clacking sound, contact your local dealer. In case the water keeps running out of the unit, close both the water inlet and outlet shut-off valves first and then contact your local dealer.
