Using the Battery Charger

Charger Functions

Re-setting the Charger

Automatic reset upon connection to power; manual start required for charging.

Charge Setting 1: Small Batteries

For batteries <14 Ah, charging at 0.8 A, switches to conservation when full.

Charge Setting 2: Standard Batteries

For batteries >14 Ah, charging at 4 A, switches to conservation when full.

Charge Setting 3: Cold Weather

For batteries >14 Ah or low temperatures, charging at 4 A.

Battery Reconditioning

Pulse charging for weak batteries, 7.5V to 10.5V, then switches to selected setting.

Protection Features

Automatic shutdown for reversed polarity, low voltage, short circuit, or unconnected clamps.

Temperature Protection

Reduces charging current if charger overheats, resumes when temperature drops.

Switching Charge Settings

Cycle through STANDBY, Setting 1, Setting 2, Setting 3, and back to STANDBY.
