POLYSTEEL 400 INSTRUCTIONS:
BATTERY INSTALLATION:
Turn the tail cap in a counterclockwise direction to remove the cap.
Remove the battery cartridge.
Place four AAA batteries into the cartridge in the direction indicated in
the center of the cartridge.
Replace the cartridge in the light in the direction indicated by the arrow
on the cartridge.
Replace the tail cap and turn it clockwise to tighten it until it is com-
pletely closed.
Note: The POLYSTEEL 400 in clam pack packaging comes with batteries
pre-installed.
QUICK CYCLE SWITCH OPERATION:
This flashlight is equipped with COAST’s Quick-Cycle Switch, featuring
high, medium and low beams.
To activate the high mode from the off position, press the on/off switch
until it clicks once, then releases. Press the on/off switch until it clicks a
second time to turn off the light.
To activate the medium mode, press the on/off switch until it clicks a
third time, then release. Press the on/off switch until it clicks a fourth
time to turn off the light.
To activate the low mode, press the on/off switch until it clicks a fifth
time, then release. Press the on/off switch until it clicks a sixth time
to turn off the light.
The light can also be operated in “momentary” mode. Momentary mode
is activated by partially depressing the on/off switch (less pressure
than required for a full click). The momentary switch will cycle the light
through the high and low beam modes.
Any time the light is turned off for more than five seconds, the high/
medium/low cycle will reset, and the high beam will be activated when
the light is turned back on.
PURE BEAM FOCUSING OPTIC:
This flashlight is equipped with COAST’s Pure Beam Focusing Optic that
allows the user to choose between a broad flood beam and a focused
Bulls-Eye Spot beam for long distance illumination.
To adjust the beam into the Bulls-Eye Spot mode, turn the front bezel
of the light clockwise.
To change the beam into the flood light mode, turn the front bezel of the
light counterclockwise.
MAINTENANCE:
The POLYSTEEL 400 is rated IPX8 and submersible to 3 meters for 6
hours. Wipe the external body with a cloth moistened with water or
isopropyl.

「クイック・サイクル・スイッチ」の操作：
このフラッシュライトでは、ハイビーム、ミディアムビー
ム、ロービームを切り替えることができる、COAST 独自の
「クイック・サイクル・スイッチ」を装備しています。
OFF の状態からハイビームを ON にするには、ON/OFF スイッ
チを1度だけカチッとするまで押し、指を離します。ライトを
OFF にするには、ON/OFF スイッチを2度目にカチッとするま
で押します。
ミディアムビームを ON にするには、ON/OFF スイッチを3度
目にカチッとするまで押して指を離します。ライトを OFF
にするには、ON/OFF スイッチを4度目にカチッとするまで押
します。
ロービームを ON にするには、ON/OFF スイッチを5度目にカ
チッとするまで押して指を離します。ライトを OFF にする
には、ON/OFF スイッチを6度目にカチッとするまで押します。
ライトを「半押し」モードで点灯させることもできます。
「半押し」モードでは、ON/OFF スイッチを半押し（カチッとす
る手前で止めた）状態で使用します。このモードでスイッチを
動作させると、ハイビームとロービームが交互に切り替わ
ります。
ライトを5秒以上 OFF にすると、ハイビーム、ミディアムビー
ム、ロービームの切替サイクルがリセットされます。その後
再び ON にすると、最初はハイビームが ON になります。
ピュア・ビーム範囲調節システム：
このフラッシュライトは、COAST の「ピュア・ビーム範囲調
節システム」を備えています。この機構により、広範囲を照
射するビームと、範囲を絞ることで長距離まで届く「ブル
ズアイ・スポット・ビーム」を切り替えることができます。
ビームを「ブルズアイ・スポット・ビーム」に切り替えるに
は、ライトの前方ベゼルを時計方向に回します。
ビームの照射範囲を広くするには、ライトの前方ベゼルを反
時計方向に回します。
メンテナンス：
POLYSTEEL 400 は IPX8 基準を満たしており、水深 3 メートル
で 6 時間使用することができます。メンテナンスの際は、
水やイソプロピルで湿らせた布で、本体の外部を拭いてく
ださい。

本体が濡れている状態で電池交換をしない。必ず本体から水気をふき取
り、乾いた場所で電池交換をしてください。
