Why won't the burner light on my Coleman 8fa3?
    • C
      Clifford KirbyJul 30, 2025
If the burner on your Coleman Insect Control Equipment won't light, there might be several reasons. First, make sure the valve is open. If gas pressure is low, turn the cylinder valve off and replace the cylinder. It may also take about 20 seconds to light the burner after a new propane bottle has been connected due to air in the gas line. Another reason might be that the cylinder is empty, so replace it. Also, check the igniter and replace the AAA battery if needed. Finally, if you are using a new 20 lb cylinder, attach the cylinder to another appliance to purge air from the line.

If the burner on your Coleman Insect Control Equipment won’t stay lit, the gas pressure might be low. Turn the cylinder valve off and replace the cylinder. If the outdoor temperature is less than 40° F and the tank is less than 1/4 full, use a full cylinder. Also, check the supply hose and straighten it if it is bent or kinked.
