1 Introduction
It’s a wise choice to use Coliy’s new Radiation Scanner Model R500. It has been designed with
totally new standards and improved functions and performance. The operation is more convenient
with outstanding optional functions:
R500 can provide real time display for radiation field intensity, dose accumulation Sv,
hand-operated store, data transfer to PC in real-time, and data analysis, etc.
1. Buttons: press the button, the instrument will switch on and start to work with real time
display and abundant data measuring functions;
2. The R500 has been exhaustively tested and is a precision instrument. Each Coliy Radiation
Scanner Model R500 is subjected to a final thorough testing.
3. Rays detectable: Model R500 can reliably measure not only α, β rays, but γ and X rays as
well.
4. Low power consumption: Model R500 consumes very little power. It uses three AA batteries
which are very easily and conveniently replaced.
5. Large screen display: All values and settings are indicated on an extra-large screen.
6. Data storage: Model R500 carries high capacity internal memory to store values. Data could
be directly stored in the instrument, and then transferred to a computer. No need to record
manually. Furthermore it supports data storage for 1 minute after power down. You don’t
have to worry about losing data when replacing battery.
7. Evaluation by computer: The software provided with Model R500 enables the computer to
indicate the measuring data in real-time for you to monitor remotely, to evaluate and to store
data at any intervals set up as you like.
8. Compact design: Model R500 is very compact in its dimensions.
9. Certification: Model R500 has been tested by TUV (German Technical Control Board) for
device safety. It meets all European CE standards as well as the “FCC 15 standards” of the
USA. Model R500 may be carried on aircraft to monitor the radiation in air.
