GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Use this heater/stove outdoors only.
• Only people that have read the instruction manual should
operate the unit.
• The heater/stove must conform to appropriate State
regulation.
• Improper installation, adjustment, alteration can cause
personal injury or property damage.
• Do not attempt to alter the unit in any manner.
• Never replace or substitute the regulator with any
regulator other than the factory-suggested replacement.
The unit must be used with supplied regulator in place.
• Remove transit protection and packaging before use.
• The whole gas system, hose, regulator, pilot or burner
should be inspected for leaks or damage before use and
all connections must be checked with soapy water (50%
dish detergent and 50% water mix) before each use or
with each tank replacement.
• Turn off the gas valve immediately if smell of gas
detected.
• Keep all ventilation openings of the unit free and clear of
debris.
• Cleaning may be required as necessary.
• The gas cylinder should be removed when the heater is
not in use or in storage.
• Do not twist or kink the exible tubes and hoses.
• Any guard or other protective device removed for
servicing or cleaning the heater must be replaced before
operating the heater.
• Never leave this unit unattended when hot or in use. Do
not use while sleeping.
• Extreme caution is necessary when the heater/stove is
used by or near children or invalids. They should be
alerted to the danger. Keep away from high temperature
surfaces to avoid burns or clothing ignition.
• Do not use the heater when you are tired or under the
influence of alcohol, drugs or any medication. Any
inattentive activity may result in serious personal injury.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not operate this unit in areas where the surrounding
can ignite or in the presence of combustible materials
such as paper or cardboard, volatile or airborne
combustibles such as gasoline, flammable liquids,
explosive powders, solvents, paint thinner, dust or
unknown chemicals. Sparks that occur during heater
operation may ignite these materials, leading to serious
injury.
• The unit should be placed on the ground in an area out
of traffic where it will not be tipped over. Do not leave unit
unattended or where children or adults may cause the
heater to tip-over. This unit contains a tip-over switch that
will shut the heater off if the unit tips over.
• Do not operate this unit in any moving vehicle.
• Do not use this heater if any part has been under water.
Contact a qualified service technician to inspect the unit
and replace any part of the control system and any gas
control, which has been under water.
• Do not move the unit while lit. Use extra care when touching
carry handle while unit is hot, severe burns can result.
• Never allow oil or grease to get hotter than 400°F (200°C).
If the temperature exceeds 400°F (200°C), or if oil begins
to smoke, immediately turn burner or gas supply off.
• Heated liquids remain at scalding temperatures long after
the cooking process. Never touch the unit or utensil until
liquids have cooled to 115°F (45°C) or less.
• Follow all instructions located on the propane canister.
• Place heater on the ground. Make sure the ground is
level and keep objects at least 24 in. (61 cm.) from all
sides and 36 in. (92cm.) from the top of the unit.
THIS IS A HEATING AND COOKING APPLIANCE. DO NOT OPERATE THIS APPLIANCE WITHOUT THE SAFETY
GUARDS IN PLACE.
