Usage Features:

  • Airflow Adjustment: Users can adjust the air flow louver manually or automatically using the SWING button to change the flow direction and evenly distribute room temperature.
  • Remote Controller: The primary interface for controlling the unit, allowing selection of modes, temperature settings, and airflow. The manual advises referring to the separate "Remote Controller Owner's manual" for detailed operations.
  • Temporary Button: Located on the indoor unit's air-in grill control box, this button allows temporary operation in case the remote controller is misplaced or its batteries are exhausted. It cycles through AUTO, FORCED COOL, and OFF modes.
    • AUTO Mode: OPERATION lamp is lit, unit runs in AUTO mode, remote controller operation is enabled.
    • FORCED COOL Mode: OPERATION lamp flashes, unit enforces cooling at HIGH wind speed for 30 minutes, then switches to AUTO. Remote controller operation is disabled.
    • OFF Mode: OPERATION lamp is off, unit is off, remote controller operation is enabled.
  • Three-minute Protection Feature: Prevents immediate restart after operation to protect the compressor, with a delay of approximately 3 minutes.
  • Auto-restart Function: In case of power failure, the unit will automatically restart with all previous settings preserved by the memory function (for units with this feature). For units without, the ON/OFF button on the remote controller must be pressed.
  • Refrigerant Leakage Detection (Optional): Displays 'EC' and flashes LED lamps if the outdoor unit detects refrigerant leakage.
  • Louver Angle Memory Function (Optional): For some models, the unit remembers the previous open angle of the horizontal louver and restores it upon restart. It is recommended not to set the louver angle too small to prevent condensed water from dripping.
  • Timer Function: Allows setting the unit to turn on or off at specific times.
  • Economical Operation Hints:
    • Properly adjust airflow louver to avoid direct airflow to inhabitants.
    • Set room temperature for comfort, avoiding excessive heating or cooling.
    • Prevent direct sunlight during cooling by using curtains or blinds.
    • Ventilate often.
    • Keep doors and windows closed to maintain cooling/heating effect.
    • Avoid placing objects near air inlet/outlet.
    • Use the timer function.
    • Disconnect power when not in use for extended periods to save energy.
    • Keep indoor unit and remote controller at least 3.28ft away from televisions, radios, stereos, etc., to avoid static or distorted pictures.
    • Clean the air filter every two weeks for optimal efficiency.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Cleaning:
    • Indoor Unit and Remote Controller: Wipe with a dry cloth. A wet cloth can be used for very dirty indoor units, but not for the remote controller.
    • Air Filters: Should be cleaned once every two weeks during long-term usage. If installed in a dusty environment, clean more frequently. If dust accumulation is too heavy, replace the filter.
    • Cleaning Procedure for Air Filter:
      1. Open the air-in grill by pushing the grill switches towards the middle and pulling down the grill at a 45° angle.
      2. Dismantle the air filter.
      3. Clean the air filter using a vacuum cleaner or pure water. For heavy dust, use a soft brush and mild detergent, then dry in a cool place. The air-in side should face up when vacuuming and face down when using water.
      4. Do not dry the air filter under direct sunshine or with fire.
      5. Re-install the air filter.
      6. Install and close the air-in grill in reverse order.
  • Maintenance After a Long Stop Period (e.g., beginning of season):
    • Check and remove blockages from indoor and outdoor unit vents.
    • Clean air filters and casings.
    • Turn on power at least 12 hours before operation for smoother function.
  • Maintenance Before a Long Stop Period (e.g., end of season):
    • Run indoor units in fan-only operation for about half a day to dry the interior.
    • Clean air filters and casings.
  • Professional Service: For incomplete installation, improvement, repair, or maintenance, contact the dealer to avoid water leakage, electric shock, or fire. Qualified service personnel should perform inspections and repairs.
  • Heat Sink Compound (Thermal Paste): When replacing Mini-Split electronic boards, ensure to use heat sink compound (not provided). Clean old paste from chips and radiator, evenly spread new paste, and gently screw the board back to maximize heat exchange.

Safety Precautions:

  • Always turn off the power supply before cleaning or servicing.
  • Do not operate with wet hands.
  • Do not insert fingers or objects into air inlet/outlet.
  • Avoid flammable sprays near the unit.
  • Do not touch the air outlet or horizontal blades during swing flap operation.
  • Do not inspect or service the unit yourself; contact a qualified service person.
  • Dispose of the product as sorted municipal waste.
  • Ensure proper grounding and earth leak detector installation to prevent electric shock.
  • Do not connect the earth wire to gas/water pipes, lightning conductors, or telephone earth wires.
  • Do not remove the fan guard of the outdoor unit.
  • Ventilate the room sufficiently if equipment with a burner is used simultaneously.
  • Arrange the drain hose for smooth drainage to prevent wetting of the building.
  • Do not touch internal parts of the controller.
  • Do not expose children, plants, or animals directly to the airflow.
  • Do not allow children to mount on the outdoor unit or place objects on it.
  • Do not operate the air conditioner when using room fumigation-type insecticide.
  • Do not place appliances that produce open fire in places exposed to the air flow from the unit or under the indoor unit.
  • Do not install where flammable gas may leak out.
  • The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons without supervision. Children aged 8 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, can use the appliance if supervised and instructed on safe use. Children should not play with the appliance, and cleaning/maintenance should not be done by children without supervision.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons.
  • Do not operate the air conditioner in a wet room like a bathroom or laundry room.
  • Do not touch the heat exchanger fins as they are sharp.
  • Do not place items that might be damaged by moisture under the indoor unit.
  • After long use, check the unit stand and fitting for damage.
  • If refrigerant leaks, contact the dealer and do not use the air conditioner until repaired, as contact with fire from a burner, heater, or cooker may result in harmful gas. Turn off combustible heating devices and ventilate the room.
