The COMMAX DRC-nUC/RF1 is a door station designed for smart homes and security systems, offering communication and access control functionalities. It serves as a master unit capable of calling and communicating with multiple house units.
The primary function of the DRC-nUC/RF1 is to facilitate communication between visitors at the door and residents inside the house. When a visitor presses a call button on the door station, it initiates a call to the corresponding household phone or video phone. Residents can then answer the call and engage in two-way communication (duplex hands-free). The device also supports 3-way communication if another user activates their monitor while a conversation is ongoing with the door camera user.
A key feature of this door station is its integrated RF card key reader, which allows for convenient door access. Users can tag a registered RF card key to the designated "CARD" point on the device to open the door. The device includes a lighting sensor and white LED lights to illuminate the name label, ensuring visibility in various lighting conditions.
