GEAR ADJUSTEMENT
If you are having difficulty getting the chain to move from the
intermediate to the big chainring, you will need to increase the
cable tension:
• Put the chain on the smallest chainring.
• Unscrew the barrel adjuster half a turn on the front mech shifter.
• Work the shifter so as to move the chain up to the intermediate chainring.
• If the gear change does not work correctly, start the operation over again,
and continue to do so until you have a satisfactory gear change.
If you are having difficulty getting the chain to move from the
intermediate to the small chainring, you will need to decrease the
cable tension:
• Place the chain on the biggest chainring.
• Screw in the barrel adjuster half a turn on the front mech shifter.
• Work the shifter to move the chain down to the intermediate chainring.
•If the gear change does not work correctly, start the operation over again,
and continue to do so until you have a satisfactory gear change.
TIP! If your gears aren’t shifting properly this could be due to the incorrect posi-
tioning of your front mech. The chainguide should be parallel to the chainrings and
maximum 3mm above the highest tooth on the big chainring (fig.22) .To find out
more, please consult the manufacturers manual, delivered with the bicycle.

FRONT MECH ADJUSTEMENT
- THE MECH STOP SCREWS:
Start off by checking the adjustment of the mech stop screws, (there are
two) (g.23).
The low range “L” mech stop screw prevents the chain from dropping off the
biggest cog towards the wheel spokes.
The high range “H” mech stop screw prevents the chain from dropping off
the smallest cog away from the wheel spokes.
The more you screw in either of these screws, the more you limit the range
of movement of the mech.

To determine the correct positioning you need to respect the following
points:
With the chain on the biggest cog, the jockey wheels should be aligned
underneath the same cog.
With the chain on the smallest cog, the jockey wheels should be aligned
underneath the same cog.
