Don't
worry,

Such
variations
do
not
affect
the
way
you
use
msdos
or
the
way
msdos
responds
to
your
commands.

The
Copy
Command
If
you
need
to
copy
files,
you
can
use
the
copy
command
to
copy
one
or
more
files,
either
on
the
same
disk
or
from
one
disk
to
^^^
another.
For
instance,
suppose
you
need
a
copy
of
a
file
named
<i
sales,
doc
that
you
have
on
a
disk
in
drive
A,
and
suppose
you
want
to
call
this
new
copy

When
you
make
a
copy
of
a
file,
you
cannot
give
the
new
file
the
same
name
as
the
original
file.
You
can,
however,
copy
a
file
from
one
disk
to
another
and
keep
the
same
filename.
For
example,
to
/—n

to
the

use
the
following

as

put
it
on
the
disk
in
drive

Note
In
the
above
example,
if
A
is
the
default
drive
(that
is,
if
the
prompt
is
A>
),
you
needn't
type
the
letter
a,
followed
by
a
colon,
before
the
first
filename.
Also,
by
default,
the
copy
will
have
>—s
the
name
of the
original
file
if
you
do
not
specify
a
new
name.
For

example,

following
commands

the
same
result:
