Function
Turning
the control
to
the
left
from
Stop
posi-
tion
rewinds
the
tape
onto the supply
reel
at a
rapid
speed.
Turning
the
control
to the
right from
Stop
posi-
tion
winds
tape
from
the
supply
reel
to
the
take-up
reel.
Record
Safety
Lock
Pulling
lock
toward
the front
of the recorder,
with
the Frurction
Control in
the
Forward
position,
places
the
unit
in
the Record
mode
of operation.

to make
a
recording.

Threading
the
Tape
l. Place an
empty reel
on the
take-up
(right)
spin-
dle.
2. Place
a reel
of tape
on the supply
(left)
spindle.
3.
Unwlnd 14" of
tape
from
the
supply reel, hold
a
section taut
and
insert it
into
the tape
slot.
4.
Insert tlre
free
end
into
one of the slots
ln
the
take-up reel.
5.
Turn the
take-upreel a few
turns counterclock-
nrise to secure
the tapeto thereel
and to
take
up
all
slack between reels.
Microphone
Recording
1. Thread the tape.
2.
Insert the microphone
plug
into
the Mic
Input
Jack.
Turn the On-Off
switch
to On.
Turn the Speed
Selector to the
desired speed.

6. Pull
the Record
Safety
Lock toward the
front
of
the recorder.
1. Hold
the microphone
6 to 12 inches from
your
mouth,
speak
in a
normal manner, and
adjust
the
Volume
Control until the two halves
of
the
magic
eye are
just
closed
on the loudest
pas-
age.

Output
Jack
This
jack
may
be
used
to
ptay
a
recording
through
an
external
speaker.
Fast
Forward
With
the
Function
Control
in
the
Forward
posi-
tion,
pull
the
Fast
Forward
Lever
toward
the
front
of
the recorder.
Tape will
advance
to
a
desired
spot
at
a
rapid
speed.
To
stop
the forward
motion
of the
tape,
return
the
Function
Control
to
Stop
position.
Remote
Control
Switch
Socket
The
Remote
Control
Sudtch
plqs
into
this
soeket
and
the
operator
can
control
the
tape motion
in
play
or Record mode.
Speed Selector
Selects
deslred
speed,
either

Turn
clockwise

Phonograph

Thread
the
tape.
2. Insert
the
Radio-TV-phono
patch
cord
plug
into
the
I'Aux"
Input
iack.
3. Connect
the
other
end
of
the
patch
cord
to
pick-
up
leads
of the
phonograph.
4.
Turn
Speed
Selector
to the
deslred
speed.
5.
Turn
the
On-Off
switch
to
On.
6. Turn
the
Function
Control
to
Forward.
7.
Pull
the
Record
Safety
lock
toward
the front
of
the recorder.
8.
Adjust
the
Volume
Control
