Overview

The TP500 Infrared Thermometer is a non-contact device designed for measuring human body temperature. It offers a range of features and specifications that make it suitable for both professional and personal use.

Function Description

The TP500 Infrared Thermometer measures temperature by detecting infrared energy emitted from the body. It is designed for non-contact measurement, making it hygienic and convenient. The device performs a self-test upon startup and indicates any failures on the screen. It can measure body temperature in "Body" mode and skin temperature in "Object" mode. Users must ensure they select the correct mode for accurate readings.

Usage Features

Turning On and Measuring:

  • Device Off State: Pressing the button turns on the device. It performs a self-test, enters the startup interface, and emits a beep sound. If the self-test fails, a failure prompt appears on the screen.
  • Device On State: A short press of the button initiates a measurement.

Reviewing and Setting Parameters:

  • Review Interface: A long press of the button from the device on state enters the review interface.
  • Parameter Setting Interface: From the review interface, a long press of the button enters the parameter setting interface.
  • Switching Items: In the setting interface, a short press of the button switches between items.
  • Adjusting Parameters: When the cursor is on the desired item, a long press selects it, and then a short press adjusts its parameter.
  • Saving and Exiting: After setting parameters, a long press of the button saves the settings and exits the interface.

Settable Parameters:

  • Sound Prompt: Toggle sound notifications.
  • Unit: Switch between °C (Celsius) and °F (Fahrenheit).
  • Mode: Users can switch to "Obj" (Object) mode for calibration. This setting is not saved, and the device automatically reverts to "Body" mode upon restart.

Important Note on Modes: The device distinguishes between "Body" temperature and "Object" temperature. "Body" mode measures human body temperature, while "Object" mode measures skin temperature. It is crucial to select "Body" mode when measuring body temperature for accurate readings.
