What to do if CONVECTAIR Air Conditioner has poor cooling performance?
    • P
      pbrownAug 10, 2025
Several factors can cause poor cooling performance. The temperature setting might be higher than the room temperature, or the air filter could be dirty. Clean the heat exchanger and the air filter. The air inlet or outlet could be blocked. Make sure that all doors and windows are closed, and reduce heat sources in the room. Check for refrigerant leaks and turn off the SILENCE function.

If the unit isn't working, check the power supply. There may be a power failure, or the power might be turned off. Also, the fuse could be burned out, or the remote control batteries might be dead. Finally, the unit’s 3-minute protection may have been activated, or the timer is on. Wait three minutes after restarting the unit, replace the fuse or batteries, or turn the power or timer on or off.

Why does my CONVECTAIR 8028-C12 Air Conditioner start and stop frequently?
    • C
      Charles ChenAug 29, 2025
Frequent starting and stopping can be caused by too much or too little refrigerant, incompressible gas or moisture in the system, a broken compressor, or voltage issues. Check for leaks and recharge the system with refrigerant. If needed, evacuate and recharge the system with refrigerant, replace the compressor, or install a manostat to regulate the voltage.
