The COOKING SURFACE PRIME is an induction cooktop designed for integration into kitchen countertops, specifically compatible with 20 mm thick sintered ceramic stoneware kitchen tops manufactured by ABK Group. This appliance offers a modern and efficient way to cook, utilizing induction technology for rapid and precise heating.
The primary function of the COOKING SURFACE PRIME is to provide a cooking surface using induction heating. It features multiple cooking zones, each capable of generating heat directly in compatible cookware. The induction technology ensures that heat is generated in the bottom of the pan itself, rather than heating the cooktop surface, leading to greater energy efficiency and faster cooking times. The cooktop is controlled via a remote control, which allows users to manage power levels, set timers, and lock the controls for safety.
The COOKING SURFACE PRIME is designed for intuitive and safe operation.
Turning On and Cooking: To begin, ensure the main switch is set to "1." Press the "On/Off" button on the remote control. The appliance will beep, and the cooking zones will appear on the LCD display, entering standby mode. To start cooking, select one of the three cooking zones by pressing its corresponding circle on the display. The cooktop will automatically begin heating. If no pot or an unsuitable pot is detected, an "E1" error message will flash, and the cooktop will switch off after 60 seconds.
Power Level Control: Each cooking zone offers six different power levels. Once a cooking zone is selected, the power level can be adjusted using the "+" and "-" buttons on the remote control. The current power level will be displayed on the LCD.
Timer Function: The "Timer" button allows users to set a specific duration for cooking. After selecting a cooking zone and power level, press the "+" or "-" button on the Timer. The LCD will show "0:00," and the time will flash. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to adjust the time from 1 minute up to 2 hours. Holding down the "+" or "-" button for 3 seconds allows for faster adjustment between 10 minutes and 2 hours. Once set, the LCD will display the remaining time, and the cooktop will turn off automatically when the timer expires. If the timer is set to "0," the function is deactivated.
Cooktop Lock: For safety and to prevent accidental changes to settings, the "Lock" button can be used to secure the "power level" and "timer" functions. When activated, the LCD will show an "L" symbol. In this mode, only the "On/Off" and "Lock" buttons are functional. To deactivate the lock, hold down the "Lock" button for 3 seconds.
High Temperature Indication: The cooktop includes a high-temperature indication function. If a cooking zone becomes excessively hot, an "H" (hot) will appear on the LCD display.
Turning Off: To turn off the cooktop, press the "On/Off" button. This will stop the heating process for all active cooking zones. It is important to manually turn off the appliance after cooking to prevent automatic restarting if a pan is placed back on a hot zone.
Cookware Compatibility: The cooktop is designed to work optimally with COOKWARE brand pots and pans. When using other cookware, it must be suitable for induction cooking and have a diameter of at least 12 cm. Using unsuitable or undersized cookware (less than 10 cm) will result in an "E1" error and no power supply. Silicone spacers supplied with the product must be used with non-COOKWARE brand pots and pans.
Cooking Practices: Induction cooking is highly efficient and fast. Always place oil or other cooking ingredients in the pan before starting to cook, and never place an empty pan on a hot cooking zone. Ensure the pan remains centered on the cooking zone to ensure even heating and prevent food from burning. Monitor oil heating to avoid overheating and burns. Covering pans with a lid when boiling water can speed up the process and save electricity.
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of the COOKING SURFACE PRIME.
Ventilation: Adequate ventilation is crucial for the cooktop's performance. A minimum distance of 10 cm should be maintained below the appliance's base. Installing the cooktop in a drawer that can be opened is recommended to prevent overheating and maintain performance. Regularly clean the ventilation grilles underneath the appliance using a dry cloth or a vacuum cleaner. Do not use water for this purpose.
Damage and Repairs: Do not use the appliance if cables or plugs are damaged. All repairs must be performed by a qualified engineer or an authorized service center. If the porcelain countertop cracks or breaks, immediately stop using the appliance, switch it off, and unplug it. Contact your dealer for a replacement.
