1. Remove water supply tubing from each HMX by pulling directly away from the nipple it is attached to, not at an angle. You
may have to apply minor force to separate the tubing from the nipple.
2. Remove the other end of the tubing from the header at the top of the unit.
3. Fill syringe with vinegar and then attach syringe and blue tubing to HMX nipple.
NOTE! To service the HMX nipples, use a 50 ml syringe with luer lock. Fill the syringe with non-diluted distilled or white
vinegar. Use as much vinegar as need until all blocking particles are removed.
4. Quickly push in and pull out on the syringe plunger, pulling blocking particles out of the HMX nipple. Hold the plunger of the
syringe lower than the inlet or tube end allowing heavy particles to collect in the syringe. Note that the longer the tube the
longer the syringe strokes must be to remove the particles from the nipple. Repeat steps 9 thru 12 for each HMX nipple.
