Damage due to one or more of the following causes will void the manufacturer's liability
and warranty:
o Non-observance of the pump's intended use.
o Incorrect installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, or repair of the
pump.
o Non-observance of the safety instructions in this manual.
o Operating the pump with faulty or incorrectly installed safety and protective
devices.
o Inspection and maintenance work not carried out according to schedule (see
Maintenance).
o Use of spare parts and accessories that have not been approved.
A prerequisite for warranty claims is that the pump has been correctly installed and
commissioned.
3.5 Residual risks
The pump has been built in accordance with state-of-the-art standards. Nonetheless,
residual risks cannot be excluded:
Caution risk of injury
In case of incorrect installation, disassembly, or maintenance work on the
couplings/connections, there is a risk of burns and injury due to hot water or steam
suddenly escaping.
o Installation, disassembly, or maintenance work may only be done by expert
personnel.
o Make sure that the plant is depressurized before starting installation,
disassembly, or maintenance work on the couplings/connections.
Caution risk of burns
High surface temperatures in heating installations can cause severe skin burns.
o Wear safety gloves.
o Attach corresponding warning signs near the device.
Caution electric voltage
o If electrical installation is not done by an expert, there is a risk of electric
shock.
