8.1 Before Towing, Double Check All These Items:
• Tires, wheels and lug nuts (see the section “Breaking in New Trailer“ and the
section “Tire & Safety Information“.
• Coupler secured and locked (see the section “Coupling to the Tow Vehicle”)
• Safety chains properly rigged to tow vehicle, not to hitch or ball (see the section
“Coupling to the Tow Vehicle” of this manual)
• Test of lights: Tail, Stop, Turn and Backup
• Cargo properly loaded, balanced and tied down (see the section “Loading the
Trailer” of this manual)
• Tongue weight
• Doors and gates latched and secured
• Flares and reectors

BEFORE & DURING TOWING
PRE-TOW CHECKLIST
WARNING
An improperly coupled trailer can result in death or serious
injury.
Do not move the trailer until:
• The coupler is secured and locked to hitch;
• The safety chains are secured to the tow vehicle; and
Assist Wheel is fully retracted.
You secure Tongue to Bed using Locking Pin and Cotter Key.
Do not tow the trailer on the road until:
• Tires and wheels are checked;
• The load is secured to the trailer; and
• The trailer lights are connected and checked.
8.2 After Each 50 Miles, or One Hour of Towing, Stop and Check the Following
Items:
• Coupler secured
• Safety chains are fastened and not dragging
• Cargo secured
• Cargo door latched and secured
MAKE REGULAR STOPS
