Before connectingbattery,removemetal
bracelets,wristwatchbands,rings,etc.
Positiveterminalmustbeconnectedfirstto
preventsparkingfrom accidentalground-
ing.
1. Liftseatpanto raisedposition,,
2, DisconnectBLACK battery cable first
then RED battery cable and carefully
removebatteryfromtractor.
3. Installnewbatterywithterminalsinsame
positionas oldbattery°
4. FirstconnectREDbatterycabletoposi-
tive (+)terminalwith hexboltandkeps
nut as shown.Tightensecurely.Slide
terminalcoveroverterminal
5, Connect BLACK grounding cable to
negative(-)terminalwithremaininghex
boltandkepsnut.Tightensecurely.
3 Replacebulb in holderand pushbulb
holdersecurelybackintotheholeinthe
backsideof the grill.
4, Closehood.
INTERLOCKSAND RELAYS
Looseor damagedwiringmaycauseyour
tractorto runpoorly,stoprunning,orprevent
itfrom starting.

Replacewith20ampautomotive4ypeplug-
infuse_Thefuse holderis located behind
the dash.
TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL AS-
SEMBLY
1o Raise hoo&
2. Unsnap headlight wire connector.
3_ Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at
sides, tilt toward engine and lift off of
tractor.
4_ When replacing hood, be sure to recon-
nect the headlight wire connector.

TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB
1, Raise hood.
2. Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the
ENGINE
Maintenance, repair, or replacement of the
emission control devices and systems, which
are being done atthe customers expense, may
be performed by any non-road engine repair
establishment or individual° Warranty repairs
must be performed by an authorized engine
manufacturer's service outlet,
TO ADJUST THROTTLE CONTROL
CABLE
The throttle control has been preset at the
factory and adjustment should not be neces-
sary. Check adjustment as described below
before loosening cable, If adjustment is
necessary, proceed as follows:
1. With engine not running, move throttle
control lever from slow to choke position,
Slowly move lever from choke to fast
backside of the grill. 25 position,
