3. Disconnect spark plug wtre from spark
plug and place where _tcannot come

LAWN MOWER
TO ADJUST CUTTING HEIGHT
See "TO ADJUST CUTTING HEIGHT" in
the Operation section of thusmanual.
REAR DEFLECTOR
The rear deflector, attached between the
rear wheels of your lawn mower, is
provided to mmimnze the poss_bd_tythat
objects willbe thrownout the rear of the
lawn mower into the operator's mowing
position. If the rear deflector becomes
damaged, it should be replaced
TO ADJUST HANDLE
The handle on your lawn mower has
three (3) height positions - adjust to height
that su_tsyou.
Squeeze the bottom ends of lower
handle towards each other until the pin
m handle can be inserted tnto one of
the three height adjustment holes

TO ASSEMBLE GRASS CATCHER
1 Put grass catcher frame intograss bag
with ng_dpart of bag on the bottom
Make sure the frame handle is outs=de
of the bag top
2 Slip vinyl bindings over frame
NOTE If vinyl bindingsare too stiff, hold
them tnwarm water for a few minutes If
bag gets wet, let =tdry before using
_,CAUTION, Do not run your lawn
mower without clipping deflector or
approved grass catcher in place Never
attempt to operate the lawn mower w=th
the rear door removed or propped open

engtne governor,whLchis factory set for
proper engine speed. Overspeedmg the
engine above the factory h_ghspeed
setting can be dangerous if you think the
engine-governed high speed needs
adjusting, contact your nearest Sears or
other qualified service center, which has
proper equ=pmantand experience to
make any necessary adjustments
