Danger
Do not smoke when you drain liquids
from engine or lters. Keep open re
away from the location. Remove any
spilled oil or liquids before starting the
engine.
1. The fuel lter
After every 50 hours of service:
Replace the fuel lter, as described on page 29.
Consult the manual supplied with the
product in question
2. Draining of the water separator
To drain the water separator:
• Open the drain plug at the bottom of the lter.
• Drain the water and collect it in a bowl; close the
drain plug.
Note: A water separator does not be-
long to the standard scope of supply,
but must be procured and fitted none-
theless
3. Bleeding of the fuel system
After having drained the water separator/fuel lter, the
fuel system must be freed from air (‘bled’).
The fuel system is self-bleeding and this goes as fol-
lows: Turn the key in the start switch in the ‘ON’ position
and after about 1 minute the fuel lift pump will begin to
operate and bleed the system automatically.
If so required the bleeding of the system can also take
place via the fuel lter (only in the case of a 4-cylinder
engine).
