Why is my Crane Bank Note Validator not accepting coins?

Your Crane Bank Note Validator might not be accepting coins due to several reasons: * There may be no power supply. Ensure the ribbon cable is correctly connected to both the coin validator and the machine, and that the machine is receiving voltage. * The return lever or button could be stuck or inadvertently pressed. Check that it is free and not activated. * The coin runway might be dirty. Open the flight deck and clean the coin runway. * The coin could be inhibited. Verify that the common inhibit signal line (pin 6) is not activated by the machine, and check the single inhibit signal line assigned to the coin. Also, ensure the coin is not inhibited using the DIL switches or that only the narrow coin channel is enabled.
