This document describes the CREATE Winecooler S, an electric wine cooler designed for storing up to 8 standard-sized (75cl) bottles of wine. It is a category 10 electrical semiconductor refrigeration device with a design temperature of 17°C, as recommended by the manufacturer in application of implementation regulation 643/2009.
Function Description:
The CREATE Winecooler S is an appliance specifically designed for the stable storage of wine. Its primary function is to maintain a consistent internal temperature, preserving the quality of the wines. Unlike conventional appliances with noisy compressors, this wine cooler utilizes a thermoelectric cooling system, which is described as extremely discreet and quiet. It operates without circulating gas, eliminating the risk of contamination or leaks, and produces less vibration, further contributing to wine preservation. The compact size of the unit allows it to occupy less space.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Capacity: Designed to hold a maximum of 8 standard size (75cl) bottles of wine.
- Cooling System: Thermoelectric cooling system.
- Design Temperature: 17°C (recommended by the manufacturer).
- Temperature Range: Adjustable from 11°C to 18°C.
- Temperature Adjustment Increments: 1°C.
- Power Cord: Must not be trapped or damaged during placement.
- Ventilation: Requires 10 cm of free space at the rear for cooling system ventilation.
- Ambient Temperature Requirements: Optimal use requires the room temperature to be between 16°C and 32°C. Performance may be negatively impacted if ambient temperatures are outside this range.
- Electrical Classification: Category 10 electrical semiconductor refrigeration device.
- Internal Lighting: Features an interior light that can be turned on and off.
- Display: Includes a screen to show the current temperature.
- Controls: Buttons for light, temperature control, temperature increase, and temperature decrease.
- Water Tank: Located at the bottom of the unit, designed for water collection.
Usage Features:
- Temperature Setting: Users can adjust the internal temperature between 11°C and 18°C in 1°C increments using the temperature increase and decrease buttons. For red wines, a recommended temperature of 16-17°C is suggested.
- Temperature Monitoring: It is recommended to leave a thermometer inside the refrigerator for regular monitoring of the internal temperature.
- Internal Temperature Variation: The internal temperature can vary depending on the location of the bottles (top, middle, or bottom).
- Door Usage: To maintain a stable temperature, avoid leaving the door open for too long.
- Placement:
- Must be installed on a flat, clean, and stable floor.
- Should be placed away from direct sunlight and heat sources (radiators, hot plates, etc.) to prevent damage to the unit's coating and increased energy consumption.
- Not designed to be installed in a basement or cellar.
- Should not be placed in damp locations for safety.
- Child Safety: Children should never be allowed to use, play on, or climb on the unit due to the risk of being trapped inside. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without supervision.
- Food Storage: Not suitable for storing perishable foods, as the internal temperature may not be cool enough for proper storage.
- Power Outlets: Avoid placing multiple portable power outlets or power sources on the back of the appliance.
- Initial Setup: Before connecting to a power source, the device should be left in an upright position for approximately 24 hours to reduce the risk of refrigeration system failure due to transport handling.
- Leveling: The unit should be leveled by adjusting the front feet to ensure stability.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning:
- Unplug the wine cellar and remove all bottles before cleaning.
- Clean the exterior of the unit with hot water and a mild detergent.
- Remove and wash the water tank located at the bottom of the unit.
- Never clean unit components with flammable liquids or use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Regularly clean surfaces that may come into contact with food and accessible drainage systems.
- If the refrigerating appliance is left empty for long periods, turn it off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to prevent mold formation.
- Transporting:
- Remove all bottles and unplug the unit.
- Tape all loose parts inside the wine cellar.
- Rotate the legs to adjust their height to the minimum to avoid damage.
- Squeeze the door to keep it closed.
- Ensure the wine cellar is kept upright during transport.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides a problem resolution section with possible causes and solutions for common issues such as the unit not working, insufficient cooling, constant operation, light not working, vibrations, excessive noise, and door not closing properly.
- Disposal: To avoid harm to the environment and human health, the device should be recycled responsibly at public collection points. Older refrigerators may contain ozone-depleting CFCs, and users should contact their nearest waste treatment center for proper disposal procedures.
