computer equipment which meet with Class B limits.
All cables used to connect this device must be shielded, grounded and no longer than 3m in length.
Operation with non-certified computers or incorrect cables may result in interference to other devices
or undesired effects to the product.
MODIFICATION: Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by Creative Technology
Limited or one of its affiliated companies could void the user's warranty and guarantee rights.
The insulating coating on the device also serves the purpose of ESD protection.
USB meets the guidelines for exposure to the radio waves. USB is a radio transmitter and receiver. It
is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves rec-ommended by international
guidelines. These guidelines were developed by the independent scientific organization ICNIRP, and
where safety factors designed to assure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health, were
included. The exposure guidelines for mobile devices employ a unit of measurement known as the
Specific Absorption Rate (or SAR). The SAR limits stated in the ICNIRP guidelines is 2.0 Watts/kilogram
(W/kg), averaged over 10 grams of tissue. Tests for SAR are conducted at standard operating locations,
with the device transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands. The actual
SAR level of an operating device can be below the maximum value because the de-vice is designed to
use only the power required to reach the network. That number varies, de-pending on a number of
factors, such as how close you are to a network base station. The high-est SAR value under the ICNIRP
guidelin
used in the normal use position against the ear. When a carry case, belt clip or holder is carried with
you, it should not contain metal part, and should position the USB away from your body at the above-
stated distance. In order to transmit data or information, this device requires a good quality connection
to the net-work. In some cases, transmission of data or information may be delayed until such a
connection is available. Use of USB accessories and enhancements may result in different SAR values.
SAR values may vary depending on the national reporting and testing requirements and the network
band.
