1. Mount the device on or next to the cabinet and connect
the unit according the diagram above. When this is done,
log on to Keywin 6 and go to Settings. Mark the cabinet,
go to edit and advanced, tick the ”External lock” button.
(see above) As soon as this is done the display of the
cabinet changes to “LOCKED”.
The user can now only access the display by rst using
the external unit. When approved, the display will change
to “LOGIN” and the user can log in to the cabinet.
External reader
To connect an external card reader/unit, follow the instructions below:
By connecting an external card reader to your cabinet you add a layer
of security to your cabinet by making sure no unauthorized persons
can access the keypad of the cabinet. All users needs to be autho-
rized via the external reader in order to login on the cabinet keypad.

see our KeyWin6 manual and our Help Center. Please note that your
cabinet needs to be connected to your KeyWin6 Portal in order to
congure the External reader settings for your cabinet.
