USING YOUR RICE COOKER
YourRiceCookerincludesaconvenientandusefulSautéFunction,whichallowsyoutosauté/brownonions,garlicand/or
otheringredientsinoilpriortocooking.Italsoallowsyoutocookrisotto.
Youcanchoosetocookriceorothermealsdirectlywithouttheneedtosauté,butthisaddedfeaturegivesyougreater
versatilityinthepreparationofyourfavouriterecipes.
SAUTÉ FUNCTION
Thisfunctionisdesignedtoallowyoutosautéorbrowningredients.
1. ConnectpowercordtoanelectricaloutletandpresstheSautébutton

willcomeon.Allowtheinnerbowltoheatupforapproximately1minute.
2. Addoilorbutterandallowittoheatupforafewmoments.Next,placethefoodtobesautéedinsidetheinnerbowl.
3. Sautéthefoodwhilestirring.
4. Thesautéfunctionrequiresclosesupervisionandneedstobecontrolledmanually.Don’tleaveyourRiceCooker
unattendedwheninSautémode.Whenyouhavefinishedsautéing,presstheSautébuttontoturnoffthesauté
function.TheredSautélightwillgoout.Note that this will NOT switch your Rice Cooker off.
IMPORTANT:Beforecookingrice,youmustmanuallyturnofftheSautéfunction.
NOTE:Donotuseametalspoontostirthefoodintheinnerbowlasthismaydamagethenon-stickcoating.
COOKING WHITE RICE
Make sure your Rice Cooker is switched off, unplugged at the mains supply socket and is fully cooled before
assembling or disassembling. During use the glass lid, inner bowl and cooker body will get very hot. Always
handle with care and use oven gloves.
Always check that the rice is thoroughly cooked before serving.

ofthecup.Don’tuseheapedmeasures.
3. Washthericethoroughlyundercoldrunningwater.Thiswillremovetheexcessstarchfromthericeandproducebetter
resultswhencooking.Addthewashedricetotheinnerbowlspreadingitevenlyacrossthebottomofthebowl.
4. Usingthesuppliedmeasuringcup,addtherequiredquantityofcoldwatertotheinnerbowl.Forquantitiesseetherice
cookingguidesonpage5.Makesurethatthebowlisnotfilledabovethemaximumlevelmarking.

After use, unplug your rice cooker from the supply socket. Your rice cooker does not switch off automatically.
COOKING BROWN RICE

CKCPRC6039)and10cups(fortheCKCPRC6040).Thisisbecausebrownriceabsorbsmorewaterasitcooksand
