The
gear
shift
lever
is
located
on
the
upper
right
hand
side
of
the
instrument
panel.
This
lever
is
used
to
select
various
gear
ratios
provided
in
the
transmission.
There
are
five
forward
speeds
and
one
reverse
speed.
Refer
to
"SPECIFICATIONS."

8.)

INTERLOCKS
This
tractor
is
equipped
with
a
safety
interlock
system
for
the
protection
of
the
operator.
If
the
interlock
sys¬
tem
should
ever
malfunction,
do
not
operate
the
trac¬
tor.
Contact
your
authorized
Cub
Cadet
dealer.
The
safety
interlock
system
prevents
the
engine
from
cranking
or
starting
unless
the
brake/clutch
pedal
is
fully
depressed,
and
the
PTO
switch
is
in
the
"OFF"
position.
The
safety
interlock
system
will
automatically
shut
off
the
engine
if
the
operator
leaves
the
seat
before
plac¬
ing
the
gear
shift
lever
in
neutral
("N")
and
engaging
the
brake
pedal
lock.
The
safety
interlock
system
will
automatically
disen¬
gage
the
PTO
if
the
operator
leaves
the
seat
with
the
PTO
on,
or
the
unit
is
shifted
into
reverse
with
the
PTO
in
the
"RUN"
position.
To
re-engage
the
PTO,
shift
into
neutral
("N"),
move
the
PTO
switch
into
the
"OFF"
position,
and
then
engage
the
PTO
while
seated.
FUEL
TANK
AND
GAUGE
The
fuel
tank
is
on
the
pedestal,
under
the
hood.
The
fuel
tank
cap
gauge
indicates
the
amount
of
fuel
in
the
tank.
Remove
the
cap
gauge
to
fill
the
tank.
Reinstall
cap
after
filling
fuel
tank.
