Why does my Cub Cadet 31AH957V596 engine fail to start?
- MMiguel BoltonAug 11, 2025
Your Cub Cadet Snow Blower engine might fail to start due to several reasons: * The choke is not in the CHOKE position, move the choke to CHOKE position. * The spark plug wire is disconnected, connect the wire to the spark plug. * The fuel tank is empty or the fuel is stale, fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. * The engine is not primed, prime the engine as instructed. * The spark plug is faulty, clean, adjust the gap, or replace it. * The key is not in the ignition, insert the key fully into the switch. * The extension cord is not connected (when using electric start), connect one end of the extension cord to the electric starter outlet and the other end to a three-prong 120-volt, grounded, AC outlet.
