Why does my Cub Cadet Snow Blower engine fail to start?
- Llance80Aug 10, 2025
There are several reasons why your Cub Cadet Snow Blower engine might fail to start: 1. The choke might not be in the ON position. Move the choke to the ON position. 2. The spark plug wire might be disconnected. Connect the wire to the spark plug. 3. The fuel tank might be empty or contain stale fuel. Fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. 4. The engine might not be primed. Prime the engine as instructed in “Operating Your Snow Thrower”. 5. The spark plug might be faulty. Clean, adjust the gap, or replace it. 6. The fuel line might be blocked. Clean the fuel line. 7. The safety key might not be fully inserted into the ignition. Insert the key fully into the switch. 8. The fuel shut-off valve might be closed (if equipped). Open the fuel shut-off valve.
