      There are several reasons why your Cub Cadet Snow Blower engine might fail to start: 1. The choke might not be in the ON position. Move the choke to the ON position. 2. The spark plug wire might be disconnected. Connect the wire to the spark plug. 3. The fuel tank might be empty or contain stale fuel. Fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. 4. The engine might not be primed. Prime the engine as instructed in “Operating Your Snow Thrower”. 5. The spark plug might be faulty. Clean, adjust the gap, or replace it. 6. The fuel line might be blocked. Clean the fuel line. 7. The safety key might not be fully inserted into the ignition. Insert the key fully into the switch. 8. The fuel shut-off valve might be closed (if equipped). Open the fuel shut-off valve.

Clean the fuel line and fill the tank with clean, fresh gasoline. * Water or dirt in the fuel system. Drain the fuel tank and refill it with fresh fuel. * Carburetor out of adjustment.       If your Cub Cadet Snow Blower fails to discharge snow, consider the following: * The chute assembly could be clogged. Stop the engine immediately, disconnect the spark plug wire, and clean the chute assembly and inside of the auger housing with a clean-out tool or a stick. * A foreign object might be lodged in the auger. Stop the engine immediately, disconnect the spark plug wire, and remove the object from the auger with a clean-out tool or a stick. * The auger control cable may need adjustment. Refer to “Auger Control Test.” * The auger belt might be loose or damaged. Refer to the Maintenance section. * Shear pins might be sheared. Replace them with new shear pins.
