Clean the Element
Wash the element gently but
thoroughly with solvent designed
for foam air filters.

Inspect
Air filter element
If damagedreplace
WARNING:
Never use gasoline or low flash
point solvents as they may cause a
fire or explosion.
Squeeze the excess solvent out
of the element and let it dry.
Note:
Do not twist or wring out the
element as this could damage the
foam element.
Apply a small amount of oil and
squeeze it into the filter. (the
filter
should look damp but not
soaked
or dripping).
Install :
Air filter element
Air filter case cover
Console
Passenger’s seat
Driver’s seat
Note
Never operate the engine with the air filter
element removed. This will allow
unfiltered air to enter, causing rapid wear
and possible engine damage. Operation
without the filter element will affect
carburetor (if equipped), tuning and
possible engine
damage.
Checking the Coolant Level
Place the vehicle on a level surface.
Lift up the hood.
Note:
Vehicle should not be warmed up for
this check. Check coolant before starting
the vehicle.
Check coolant level on the reservoir.
The level should be between the
minimum level mark (a) and the
maximum level mark (b).
If low, add the recommended
coolant
to the proper level.
