Make sure the bleed screw is tight and
add fluid to the reservoir to the full line.
Warning:
Before operating the vehicle, always
check the operation of the brakes after
bleeding the brakes.
Adjusting the Select Lever
Shift Rod
① Neutral
② High
③ Low
④ Reverse
⑤ Select lever shift rod
⑥ Shift control cable
Warning:
The vehicle must be stopped and your
foot off the accelerator pedal before
shifting to prevent damage to the
transmission.
1.
Adjustment of the shift lever rod.
Make sure the select lever is in the
neutral position.
Loosen both locknuts (1).
Adjust the rod.
Tighten the locknuts.
Adjusting the Brake Light
Switch
Note:
·
The brake light switch is operated
by movement of the brake pedal.
·
The brake light switch is properly
adjusted when the brake light
comes on just before the braking
effect starts.
1.
Check brake light operation timing.
2.
Adjust by the following:
Hold the main body (1) of the
brake light switch so that it does
not rotate and turn the adjusting
nut (2) in the direction (a) or (b)
until the brake light comes on at
the proper time.
