  Your Cub Cadet Lawn Mower might not start due to several reasons. Ensure the PTO/Blade Engage knob is disengaged, the parking brake is engaged, and the spark plug wires are connected. Check that the throttle/choke control lever is in the FAST position and the choke is activated. Also, verify that the fuel tank isn't empty or contains stale fuel. A blocked fuel line or faulty spark plugs could also be the cause. If the engine is flooded, crank it with the throttle in the FAST position. Lastly, check for blown fuses and replace them if necessary.

A blocked fuel line or stale fuel could also be the culprit; clean the fuel line, replace the fuel filter, and use fresh gasoline. Make sure the vent in the gas cap isn't plugged. Water or dirt in the fuel system, or a dirty air cleaner can also cause this problem. Drain the fuel tank and refill with clean fuel, or replace the air cleaner as needed.
