Why is my Cuisinart GK-1 Kettle not heating water?

Make sure you press and hold the ON/OFF button to turn the unit on. After you hear a beep, wait for 5 seconds. If the Cuisinart kettle still isn't heating, contact Cuisinart Customer Service.
