Why is my Cuisinart GK-1C Kettle not heating water?

Make sure you press and hold the ON/OFF button to turn on your Cuisinart Kettle. After you hear a beep, wait 5 seconds. If it's still not heating, even after pressing and holding the ON/OFF button, contact Cuisinart Customer Service.
