The Cuisinart® Toaster Oven Broiler with Exact Heat™ Sensor is a versatile countertop appliance designed to simplify baking, broiling, and toasting. It combines the functions of multiple kitchen appliances into a single unit, saving counter space.

Function Description:

This appliance offers a wide range of cooking options:

• Bake (or Convection Bake): Ideal for baking items like stuffed mushrooms, roasted chicken, cakes, and pies. The Exact Heat™ Sensor ensures consistent and delicious results. Convection Bake (available on select models) uses a fan to circulate heat, providing exceptionally even temperatures and potentially faster cooking times at lower temperatures (approximately 25°F lower than conventional baking). This method results in moister and more delicious food.
• Broil: Perfect for quickly cooking meats like steaks, chops, hamburgers, and fish, as well as top-browning casseroles and gratins. The oven comes with a broiling pan and drip tray for convenience.
• Toast: Designed to toast a wide variety of breads and bagels, accommodating 4 to 6 large slices. It features a "Perfect Timing™ Touchpad Control" for precise toasting.

Important Technical Specifications:

• Exact Heat™ Sensor: An electronic chip that continuously monitors the oven's internal temperature, ensuring consistent and professional results across all functions.
• Touchpad Shade Control: Allows selection from seven browning settings (1-7, light to dark) for toast. The chosen setting is indicated by black dots and a numerical display on the clock.
• Browning Memory: The oven remembers the last selected browning setting until it's changed or the unit is unplugged. If unplugged, it defaults to medium toast (setting 4).
• Automatic Shut-off: For safety, the oven automatically turns off after four hours of continuous use.
• Temperature Range: Broil is preset to 500°F (cannot be changed). Bake and Convection Bake temperatures are adjustable in 25°F increments, starting from 150°F.
• Timer: A built-in timer allows setting cooking times up to 4 hours. It rings continuously at 0:00 until manually turned off.
• Clock: Always displays the current time and can be set using hour and minute functions.
• Power Cord: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce entanglement risks. Longer extension cords can be used if they meet the appliance's electrical rating and are arranged safely. The appliance has a polarized plug for safety.

Usage Features:

• Quick Reference Operation:
  • Bake/Conv Bake: Press "Bake" or "Conv Bake," then "Temp," use arrows to set temperature, and "Start/Stop" to begin. The oven beeps and displays "Temp Ready" when preheated.
  • Broil: Press "Broil," then "Start/Stop" to begin. The temperature is fixed at 500°F. Preheat for five minutes with the door closed. Always leave the door ajar when broiling.
  • Toast: Press "Toast," use "Lighter" or "Darker" arrows for browning, and "Start/Stop" to begin. A ready tone sounds at the end of the cycle.
• Custom Settings:
  • 4-6 Slice Button: Adjusts toasting time for 4 to 6 slices, ensuring even browning without overtoasting.
  • Bagel Button: Adds extra time for toasting bagels, English muffins, and thick bread slices.
  • Defrost Button: Defrosts and then toasts frozen bread by adding time to the toast cycle.
  • Reheat Button: Reheats pre-toasted bread without browning.
  • Combination Settings: Custom settings (4-6 Slice, Bagel, Defrost, Reheat) can be combined to achieve desired toasting results. For example, "Toast" + "Bagel" for a sliced bagel, or "4-6 Slice" + "Defrost" + "Bagel" for defrosting and toasting multiple bagel halves.
• Oven Rack Positions: The oven rack has two positions (A, B, C) for different cooking needs. Position "B" is recommended for even toasting. The top position has a 50% stop feature for easy access.
• Door Operation: Close the glass door for baking and toasting. Leave the door ajar when broiling.
• Safety Reminders: Always unplug when not in use, allow to cool before cleaning, and do not operate with a damaged cord or plug. Never leave unattended during use.

Maintenance Features:

• Slide-out Crumb Tray: Easily removable from the back for cleaning crumbs. It is dishwasher safe.
• Easy Clean Interior: Nonstick coating on the oven sides facilitates cleaning.
• Cleaning Instructions:
  • Allow the oven to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Unplug from the electrical outlet.
  • Do not use abrasive cleansers; wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • Clean interior walls with a damp cloth and mild liquid soap solution or a spray solution on a sponge. Avoid harsh abrasives or corrosive products.
  • For baked-on grease on the crumb tray, soak in hot sudsy water or use nonabrasive cleaners.
  • The wire rack, broiling pan, and drip tray are dishwasher safe.
  • After cooking greasy foods, clean the top interior of the oven once it has cooled to maintain consistent toasting performance.
• Cord Storage: Cleats on the back of the oven help manage excess cord and keep the countertop tidy.
