What to do if Cumberland Wire Feeders' spinner control pan won't restart?
- KKatie MedinaSep 12, 2025
If the spinner control pan on your Cumberland wire feeders will not restart the system when feed is called for, replace the spinner motor. Ensure that the voltage at the spinner motor in the center house pans is between 17 and 24 volts, if center house pans are used. If there is no voltage, make sure the field wiring is correct to the center house control pans. If the voltage is very low, use a heavier gauge wire. You might also need to replace the PC board or the solid state relay. The spinner motor mounting bracket may need adjustment to point the paddle slightly to the center of the throat and away from the throat wall.
