Setting up the machine
Follow these steps to set up and rinse your machine before making your rst cold coee.
1. Unpack the machine and place it on a counter
top or other at surface, 3 inches from walls.
2. Plug the machine into a grounded outlet.
3. Press the Cumulus logo on the capsule holder
to release. Note the blank cleaning capsule that
shipped with the machine—leave this capsule
in place. Push the capsule holder down to lock it
back into place.
5. Remove the red plugs located on the back
of the tank and on the machine under the
platform where the water tank sits. Remove
the stickers identifying these plugs. These items
can be discarded.
4. Remove the water tank by pulling the handle at
the top. Remove the packaged water lter that
shipped inside the tank and set aside.
6. Install the drip tray that shipped separately in
the packaging.
7. Find a household container that holds a quart
(32 oz) of water and that will t underneath the
spout with the drip tray in place—for example,
a large measuring cup or a pitcher.
8. Fill the water tank up to the ll line with clean water,
and reinsert. Do not ll the tank with any liquid except
water. Using any liquid except potable water is misuse
and will void your warranty.
