3 Operation
3.1 Switching on
Power is applied to the unit by pushing the front panel “Brightness” control in.
3.2 Power up sequence
On Power on the display “Power” LED will illuminate immediately for a few
seconds while the display is powering on (Lamp test).
3.3 Brightness Control
The display brightness is controlled by the front panel brightness knob.
Turning the knob anticlockwise reduces the brightness and clockwise to
increase the brightness.
The brightness knob is back illuminated when the power is applied to the unit
(low level green glow to allow location at night)
The key backlighting can be set to match the aircraft lighting bus or to work in
line with the brightness knob on the front of the display. The default setting is
set to work with the aircraft lighting bus, 0-5V DC.
3.1.1 External Adjustment
The Key backlight Lighting bus mode can be set from the external laptop
configuration screen within the configuration tool as follows:
